Keanehan Pertama :
Orang India menemukan bahwa tidak ada seorang pun yang dapat membuat FOLDER di komputer dengan program Microsoft manapun dengan judul Folder "CON", "LPT1", "COM1". Ini merupakan hal nyata dan seluruh kru Microsoft sendiri tidak dapat menjawabnya kenapa hal ini bisa terjadi.
Penjelasan : Masih inget dengan OS DOS? Nah sebelum Microsoft merilis OS versi Windows banyak command yang menggunakan CON. Pertanyaan kenapa tidak bisa untuk nama folder? Agar tidak terjadi konflik dengan perintah-perintah sistem dibelakangnya.

Keanehan Kedua :
Cobalah hal berikut :
1) Buka sebuah notepad file kosong;
2) Ketiklah "Bush hid the facts" atau "this api can break" atau "this cat can split" atau "jane can not dance" atau "xxxx xxx xxx xxxxx" (huruf kecil dan tanpa tanda petik);
3) Save di mana pun anda suka;
4) Tutuplah dan bukalah kembali file tersebut.
Penjelasan : Masalah baru timbul jika berkas tersebut dibuka oleh Notepad itu sendiri. Sebelum membuka berkas tersebut, Notepad berusaha untuk mendeteksi encoding yang digunakan. Ternyata proses deteksi ini mengalami kesalahan jika berkas yang dimaksud mengandung kalimat dengan pola 4-3-3-5 karakter. Akibatnya berkas yang disimpan dalam encoding ANSI tersebut dibuka dalam encoding UTF-16. Namun jika menggunakan kata-kata "alix hid the facts" (huruf kecil dan tanpa tanda petik), tidak terjadi masalah. Kesimpulan sementara konsep 4 3 3 5 tidak berlaku kalau karakter keempatnya huruf X,Y, atau Z. Misalnya ALIX, ALIY, atau ALIZ.
Keanehan Ketiga :
1) Buka program Microsoft Word dan ketik: =rand (200, 99)
2) Kemudian anda ENTER
berlaku (200,00 s/d 200,99)
=rand(200,99)
